At Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 of Hollis Claude McFadyen of Portage, aged 68, beloved husband of Shirley (nee Sullivan) McFadyen. Born on April 23, 1941, in Portage, son of the late Harold and Dorothy (MacDonald) McFadyen. Dear Father of Michael (Cindy), Portage, Cathy (Douglas) Jackman, McNeills Mills, Terry (April), Inverness, Randy (Reaby), Conway, Vicki (Joel) Matteis, Chatham, Ont. Loving grandfather of 13 grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Matt Lepitre, Maple Ridge, B.C., Geraldine McFadyen, Saint John, N.B., Sheree Chandler, Brooklyn, N.S. Nephew of Lena MacDonald, Portage. Predeceased by his brother, Orville, and sisters, Elva and Georgie. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday until 9:45 a.m. then to St. Brigid’s Church, Foxley River, Lot 11 for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Prince County Hospital Foundation (Palliative Care Unit) or the St. Brigid’s Cemetery would be appreciated.
