HAWKES, DONALD (RUSTY) A. - Donald (Rusty) A. Hawkes, 71, of ProTem Health Services, Moncton and formerly of Stilesville, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday June 6, 2011. Born in Riverside, he was the son of the late Lavinia Hawkes Knowlton. Rusty was retired from Brunswick Bottling. He enjoyed hunting, spending time at his camp in Elgin, watching hockey, managing his son’s hockey teams, tinkering with and fixing things around the house and socializing with his friends and family. Rusty will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years, Joan (Horsman) Hawkes; his sons, Chris (Linda), Terry (Tammy), both of Moncton, Scott (April), Stilesville; precious granddaughters, Jessica, Melissa, Ainsley, Rachel, Nicole and Haley; brother, Gerald Knowlton (Hollis), Alma; sisters, Betty Anne Rossiter (John), Alma, Marie Dixon (Gene), Riverside-Albert, Verna Elliott (Parker), Lower Coverdale, Bonnie Trites (Brent), Stilesville; special aunts, Mabel Knowlton and Marion Nelson (Clark); several nieces and nephews.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday, June 9, 2011, 1:30 pm, Rev. Ron Maund officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
