Age 73 years. Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family at the Palliative Care Unit Sunday, June 5th, 2011. Predeceased by his parents, James and Gertrude Carew, his brothers: Ronald and Cecil Carew, brother-in-law Albert Oates, and nephews: Carl Oates and Sheldon Kavanagh. Leaving to mourn his sisters: Veronica Hawkins (Willie), Imelda Kenny (Austin), Annie Carew (Henry), Irene Kavanagh (Pius), Joan Penny (Victor), Madonna Oates (Alex); his brothers: Patrick (Patricia), Stephen (Matilda), Vincent (Betty) and Reginald (Margie); many nieces and nephews and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Monday, June 6th and Tuesday, June 7th, from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle on Wednesday, June 8 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape R.C. Cemetery, Cape Broyle.
