At Stewart Memorial Hospital, Tyne Valley on Monday June 6, 2011 of Joseph Gillis, Bayside aged 70, beloved husband of Marion (nee Cameron). Born in Bayside on March 22, 1941, he was the son of the late Angus and Mary (nee MacKinnon) Gillis. Dear father of Joey, Ottawa; Barb, Summerside; and Eddie at home. Brother of Priscilla March, Gloucester MA; Angus “Bud”, Richmond; Mary (Neil) MacKay, Kensington; Betty (Leo) Walsh, Hope River; Linda McClintick, Stratford; and Kay(Barry) Shaw, Hazelbrook. Brother in Law of Leo (Wendy), Port Hope, ON; and Harold (Melina) Cameron, Wellington; Eleanor Breau, Summerside and Myra Gillis, Arlington. Predeceased by his parents, brother Urban, brothers in law Raymond March, Reginald McClintick, Urban, Lloyd, Austin, Earl, Alden, and Ralph Cameron, and sister in law Blanche Praught. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday until 10 a.m. and then to St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Grand River for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Memorials to the St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church Restoration Fund or the Stewart Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated
