Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family after a brief illness, on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, Kathleen Bowering, aged 78 years. Predeceased by her parents Suzannah and Edgar Spurrell. Leaving to mourn her devoted husband of 56 years, Railton (Ray); children: Wayne (Brenda), Paul (Lesley), Ruby French (Derek), Rick (Diana Peddle) and David (Elizabeth); grandchildren: Trevor and Chris Bowering and Laura and Mark French; brother Gerald Spurrell (Margaret); sisters-in-law: Audrey Blackwood and Eileen Farrell; as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, June 8 from 5-9 p.m., Thursday, June 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, June 10 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service will be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Friday, June 10 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
