DAIGLE, JEANNETTE - Jeannette Daigle, 79, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at her residence. Born on August 14, 1931 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Georges and Béatrice (Pellerin) Surette. Jeannette loved going to the casino with her sister and best friend, Edith, as well as playing cards, especially 200, with her friends Valda and Normand and Alfreda and Gérard. She is survived by her husband, Coral, two sons: Donald (Noëlla) and Paul (Angela); three sisters: Simonne (Donald MacLoad), Dorine Casey and Edith LeBlanc; two brothers: Henri (Géraldine) and Laurie; proud of her granddaughter Brittany and caring for her sons’ dogs, Nash, Sammy and Shadow. She is predeceased by her sisters and brothers: Rita, Viola, Alphonse, Paul, Gérald and Ovila. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude towards the staff of Blanche-Bourgeois Unit of the Extra-Mural Program and especially to Carole for your wonderful care provided to Jeannette.
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Cathedral, Moncton, on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Sainte-Marie. In memory of Jeannette, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
