ROBERT BOYLE
BOYLE, Robert Sterling, 62, of London, England, on Saturday Aug. 22, 2009; beloved elder son of Willard Sterling Boyle and Betty of Wallace, N.S., and Halifax. Husband of Barbara (Nefsky), father of Alexander (Fliss) and Ariadne (Chris Ward), and grandfather of Phoebe Ward, all of London England.
Besides his parents, Rob is survived by Cynthia Boyle Russell of Cabot, Vt; C. David Boyle of Truro, N.S., and Pamela Boyle Hamilton of Ottawa, Ont., their spouses and children.
Born in Montreal, Rob was educated at McGill and Mount Allison University from whence he graduated as a geologist. He and Barbara lived in Sackville for nine or 10 years and started Jacob’s Larder. Both children were born there.
Subsequent to starting Rock Bottom Resources he and his family moved on to London and Morocco from whence he exported
Barite to oil processing countries.
In this past year he lived with a terminal brain tumor and still managed to consult with various colleagues in several countries.
