The death occurred at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, of Seaman Reeves, of Summerside, aged 88 years. Born in Freetown, he was the son the late Walter S. and May (Snowie) Reeves. He is survived by his wife, Glenda (Broome) Reeves, daughter, Wendy Reeves (Bernard Gaugh) Reeves, Calgary, Alta., granddaughter, Tara Reeves, Vancouver, B.C., sisters, Dorothy (Pete) Harrington, Framingham, MA, Jennie (Gerald) McCarville, Kensington, brother, Lloyd (Mary) Reeves, Lower Freetown, sister-in-law, Mary Ferrish, St. Eleanors, special nephews, Ronald Lester, Saint John, N.B., and Gerald (Angela) Lester, Baines Corner, N.B., and by numerous other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister, Eleanor Lester, brothers and sisters-in-law, Lorne (Edna), Norman (Jeanetta), Roger (Chris), Walter Jr. (Pauline), and by a brother, George Hollis, and a sister, Edna, in infancy. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m.. Interment in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be appreciated.
