COLLETTE, ALBAN - 1923 – 2011 - Alban Collette, 88 of Foyer Saint-Antoine, Saint-Antoine and formerly of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton, on Thursday, June 9th, 2011. He was married to the late Eleonore (Bastarache) Collette (2002). Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent on April 8th, 1923, he was the son of the late Thaddée and the late Béatrice (Cormier) Collette. He will be sadly missed by his five children, Janice Poirier (Donald) of Cocagne, Andréa Pellerin (Noé) of Saint-Antoine, Yvon (Juliette) of Saint-Marie de Kent, Maurice (Lisa) of Bouctouche, Ola (Marie) of Moncton, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren He also leaves to mourn two sisters, Zella LeBlanc (Patrick) of Bouctouche, Mai Bourque (Ronald) of Moncton, three brothers, Lionel (Irène), Elias (Georgina) and Emile of Bouctouche, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three sisters, Elise, Jeanne and Madeleine and two brothers, Philipe and Alyre and by a special friend Amanda LeBlanc.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Monday June 13th, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Sainte-Marie de Kent Church on Monday June 13th, 2011 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery. In Alban’s memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L Dumont Foundation or to the Foyer Saint-Antoine.
