CHAFE, M. Mildred– Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit, L.A. Miller Centre, on November 12th, 2008, Mildred (Mid) Chafe, age 98 years. Predeceased by husband Hamilton, February 1982, parents Cartarette and Rebecca Lee, brothers: John, James, Frank, Leslie and Ronald; sisters: Marion Bishop, Rita Williams and Genevieve (Jenny) Cook. Leaving to mourn one son Ronald (Wavey), four daughters: Kathleen Chafe (Malcolm), Patricia Ryan (William), Carol Butler-Moores and Lorna Thomas; 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 15th, 2008 from St. Georges Anglican Church, Petty Harbour. Interment to follow at St. Georges Anglican Cemetery, Petty Hr.
