The death occurred Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the QEII Hospital Victoria General Site, Halifax of Maureen Charlotte Drake (nee O’Connor) of St. Peter’s Harbour in her 59th year. Cherished wife of Roy. Much loved mother of Adam (Allyson), Marla, Peter (Melanie), and Nathan. Beloved Nanny to Tomi-Lee, Jesse, Ivan, Griffin and Harry. Sister of Sandra (Joe) Gallant, Gerard (Carol), Dolores (Philip) Steele, Mike (Nancy), Pat (Margie), Steve (Sandra), Terry (Heidi), Sharon (Doyle) Hachey, and Charlotte (Gerard) MacAulay. Also survived by mother-in-law, Gladys Drake, brothers and sisters-in-law Terry and Carol Drake, Kenny and Olive Drake, Vaughn and Anna Marie Drake and numerous aunts and uncles. “Auntie Moe” to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Len and Rita (Gallant) O’Connor and father-in-law Eldon Drake. To be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Her beautiful voice will carry on in our hearts and minds forever.
