Passed peacefully away on Thursday, September 03, 2009, age 65 years. Predeceased by her husband, Bill, in 2001. Left with fond and loving memories are her daughter Dawne Smallwood (David) of St. John’s and her sons: Jimmy (Ruth) of Glovertown, Todd (Lesley) of Roaches Line and Lex (Dawn) of Mt. Pearl; her beloved grandchildren: Ashley, Nathan, Danielle, Matthew, Luke, Mackenzie, Bradley, Angie and Kaitlyn; her sister Isabel Whiteway (George); her brothers: Charlie (Shirley), Gus (Gloria) and Alex (Violet); her sister-in-law Mary Coffin (Bill); her brothers-in-law: Lloyd Clarke (Janet), George Clarke (Emme) and Wilfred Dyke; many other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff of the Carbonear General Hospital and the Pentecostal Senior Citizens Home for their compassionate care provided during the past year. In accordance with Maxine’s wishes, cremation and a private family service will take place on Saturday, September 05, 2009. Inurnment will be a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
