John Miller
MILLER, JOHN HENRY - John Henry Miller passed away peacefully at Ridgewood Veteran Wing, on June 11, 2011. Born in Saint John on February 18, 1932 he was a son of the late, George and Edna (Orr) Miller. John was a veteran of the Korean War with the Royal Canadian Regiment. He worked for the Saint John Dry Dock for 35 years as a dock rigger. John was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69. Survived by his loving wife, Diana, his daughters, Johanna (Dan) McIntrye and Angela (Dan) Henwood; seven grandchildren, Cristina, Megan (T.J.), Ashley, Courtney (Mike), Riley, Julianna and Isabella “Bella”; one brother, David (Marilyn) Miller; two nieces, Kristy (Jesse) Hulsman and Wendy Miller; two aunts, Hilda Cameron and Vera Slocum; several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws and several nieces and nephews from Diana’s family. Predeceased by his parents, George and Edna Miller and several aunts and uncles.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday, June 13, 2011 and Tuesday, June 14, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church, Loch Lomond Road on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 10:00 am. Interment in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. A Royal Canadian Legion Service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at 7:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home. For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Ridgewood Veteran Wing or any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
