BROWN, MARTHA MARY - Martha Brown of Quispamsis, wife of Vernon “Jake” Brown, passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Bagdad, NB daughter of the late Edward and Alice (Vail) Sheehan. Martha is survived by her husband Jake; three daughters, Brenda Pacitto (Joseph), Quispamsis, Debbie Brown-Steane (Terry), Quispamsis, Sandra Smith (Stephen), Rothesay; four grandchildren, Matthew Pacitto, Heather Whittaker, Jordan and Ryan Steane; four sisters, Gladys Thorne, Saint John, Rita Thorne, Youngs Cove, Freida Carten, Moncton and Evelyn Lajoie, Verdun, Quebec; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred MacKenzie, Faye Adams; and three brothers, Kenneth, Lloyd and Charlie Sheehan.
There will be no visitation by request. A public graveside service will be held at noon on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Union Cemetery, Belleisle Creek. The pallbearers are: Matthew Pacitto, Heather Whittaker, Jordan and Ryan Steane, Terry Steane and Stephen Smith. In lieu of flowers memorials to Mind Care or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. The arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home, Hampton, NB.
