JUSTASON, LILLIAN JOAN - Lillian Joan Justason (nee Garland) of Grand Bay -Westfield, wife of the late Russell Justason, passed away at Bobby’s Hope House on June 11, 2011. Born in Digby on February 7, 1935, she was a daughter of the late William and Ella (Walker) Garland. Lillian graduated from Saint John Vocational School in 1953 with a Business Administration Certificate and worked for Mutual Life, D.V.A. Hospital and Saint John Regional Hospital until she retired. Lillian loved her family and enjoyed all the special times that she spent with them. Surviving are her sons, Greg (Elizabeth) Justason, with whom she resided, Grand Bay–Westfield; Russell Justason, Mexico; brother, William (Gail) Garland, Bellville ON; sister, Shirley (Bill) Silliphant, Saint John; grandchildren, Brandon and Olivia; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Russell and sister, Stella Hall.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John West (634-7425) with visiting on Monday, from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 14 at 2:00 pm from The Church of the Good Shepherd, 668 Manawagonish Road. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
