Paul-Emile LeBlanc
LeBLANC, PAUL-EMILE - Paul-Emile LeBlanc , 85, of Moncton passed away on June 10, 2011. Born Feb. 19, 1926 in Waltham MA, U.S.A, he was the eldest child of Antoine O. and Ella LeBlanc of College Bridge. After he attended Collège Saint Joseph, he joined the American Army and fought overseas during the Second World War. He received the Bronze-Star medal for meritorious service in ground combat against the armed enemy in WWII in the European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre of Operations. Upon his return, became a co-owner of Eastern Canada Distributors, then owner of a Barber Supplies Co. For several years he owned the G. Ross Brown Realty. He later opened a War Surplus Store on St. George St. then later established the Golden Mile Tavern on St. George Blvd. which he sold to retire in 1975. He was a lifetime member of the Air Force Veteran's Association, and 65 years as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 6. Also a member of various clubs and organizations including the Lakeside Golf Club, Beauséjour Curling Club, Beaver Curling Club, Moncton Press Club and the United Commercial Travellers. He enjoyed curling, golfing and gardening.He is survived by wife Olive (Casey), daughter Sheree (Ross) Davidson, and beloved grand daughter Shannon all of Hanwell, NB. Brothers, Aldore (Colombe), Rene (Bernadette), Romeo (Antoinette), Jean-Robert (Julia), Ronald (Jeanette). Sisters, Rosella (Late Roger), Jeanette (Thu), Carmelle (Jean-Paul) and Pauline (John H.). Predeceased by his parents, his sister Lorette and brother Rodolphe.
A the request of his family there will be no visitation. Offering of mass only. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday June 15, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Holy Family Church, 52 Falkland St. Moncton. Reception to follow in the church hall.
