Passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Saturday, June 4th, 2011 Harriett (SIS) Welsh of Grand Bank, age 83 years. Predeceased by parents, Leonard and Marjorie Matthews; first husband Archibald Rose; son Wilson (Tony) Robert Rose; brothers, Charles, Tom & Wilson Matthews; sister, Frances Crews. Leaving to mourn: husband Jabez Welsh; son James Welsh; sisters, Anne & Gary, Abbeybelle(Bruce), Esther(Keith); brothers, Ches(Mildred), Carl(Alma), Fred(Mary), John(Nora), Arch(Pat), Len(Miriam), Sid(Elizabeth); daughters-in-law, Georgina Rose and Lucy Anne Welsh; 3 grandchildren, Robert(Heather) Rose, Tracey(Scott) Thornhill, Curtis(Michelle) Welsh; 4 great grandchildren, Preston Thornhill, Samara Rose, Jersey Rose and Ava Thornhill. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev.Lewis E. Crewe from Grand Bank United Church at 2pm on Monday June 6th.Cremation has taken place.
