1939 - 2011

It is with sadness that the family of the late Richard Payne announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Point on Sunday, June 12, 2011 in his 68th year. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving wife Lucy, nee Pittman; son Richard (Deanne) of Edmonton, Alberta; daughter Susan Bartels (Scott) of Boston, Massachusetts; brother Lawrence (Sarah) of Cow Head; sisters Bertha and Alice of Cow Head; his grandchildren Ricky Payne, Annika Payne, Callum Bartels and Kieron Bartels. The family will be receiving family and friends at the Anglican Church in Cow Head from where the funeral will take place on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jean Brenton Hickman officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Heart and Stoke Foundation.
