Passed peacefully away at Dr. Albert O’Mahony Manor, Clarenville, on Monday, June 13, 2011, Gladys Butler of Shoal Harbour, aged 84 years. Predeceased by her husband Eric; parents Arthur and Lillian Strong; brother Bill and sister Rosemary. Left with fond and loving memories her sisters: Lorna MacDonald (Vaughan), Lady Cove, Joan Duffitt (Jack), Clarenville and Elizabeth Muller, Clarenville; brothers: Cecil Strong, Clarenville and Angus Strong (Winnie), Grand Falls-Windsor; special niece Elizabeth MacDonald; special nephew Peter Duffitt; special friends: Diane Butler, Rose Butler and family and Edna Butler; many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Shoal Harbour United Church with interment at United Cemetery, Church Hill, Shoal Harbour. In her memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
