It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myer Fillier announce his passing from Chancellor Park, St. John’s, NL on Monday, June 13, 2011, at the age of 66. Predeceased by parents Ralph and Effie Fillier; infant son Myer Christopher Fillier; sister Josephine Quinton; brothers: Oliver and Scott. Left with fond and loving memories his children: Connie Fillier, Norma Hooper (Boris); twin sons: Sean and Shane; sisters: Evelyn Woudenberg (Willem), Sadie Acreman (Peter), Bernice Stanford (Joe), Joan Wilcox (Wilson); grandchildren: Teri, Bradley, Kody, Myer and Rayane; two great-grandchildren: Dante and Draven; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. The family will receive visitors at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 from 2-9 p.m. Pastor Geoffrey Ryan will conduct the funeral service from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Myer’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
