BLANEY, JACQUELINE - It is with great sadness the family announce the passing of Jacqueline Ann Blaney, loving wife of Paul Blaney, which occurred on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1944 in Torrington, England, she was the daughter of the late John and Hilda (Bagilhole) Shellabear. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Jacqueline was involved in many community activities. She was a member of St. Mark’s United Church, Saint John West, the former director of Loyalist Days, First Night Saint John, Germain St. Baptist Church and the Dufferin Home. She was past president and board member of Milford Community Centre as well as a Volunteer with the Saint John Regional Hospital and South End Community Food Basket. Besides her husband Paul, she is survived by her son Phillip (Chris) Blaney of Saint John and daughter Nicole Ann (Steven) Yerxa of Riceville; granddaughter Emily; sister Rachel (John) Blaney of Wokinghan Berks, England.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark’s United Church on Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to "The Give" SJRH, The Heart & Stroke Foundation or the charity of one’s choice. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
