MORTON, MARGARET (PEGGY) B. - Margaret (Peggy) B. Morton, 94, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of McLaughlin Dr., Moncton, with loving members of her family at her side, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Born in Silvertown, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Charity (Morton) MacPherson. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a member of the Moncton Gospel Hall and enjoyed trailering, needlepoint, writing poetry and spending precious time with her family and friends. Peggy will be sadly missed by her grandson, Ronald E. Morton and his daughters, April Dawn and Ashley Morton and their mother, Nancy; daughter-in-law, Jeanne Morton and several nieces and nephews in the USA, Sussex, Moncton and surrounding area. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George E. Morton (1981); son, Ronald E. Morton (1998); infant daughter, Marilyn Dawne; sisters, Mary Barnes, Jessie (Helen) Randall, Ida L. Morton; brothers, George, Roy, Keiler, John and Cuthbert (Bert) MacPherson.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, June 18, 2011, 11:00 am, Mark MacPherson officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
