Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family on June 13th, 2011 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 79 years. Predeceased by husband Stan (1998). Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Freeman (Helena), Barbara Mercer (Ernie); grandchildren: Brittany, Ashley, Cody, Nicholas and Melissa; brothers: John Allen (Betty) and George Allen (June); sister-in-law Mildred Allen; brothers-in-law: Clarence Churchill (Betty) and Norman Churchill; special sisters-in-law and great friends: Effie Churchill and Evelyn McCarthy; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday, June 15th and Thursday, June 16th, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place from Memorial United Church, Portugal Cove on Friday, June 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Bauline Line.
