Passed peacefully away at his residence surrounded by his family on June 13, 2011, Albert E. Hickman, age 70 years. Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Beatrice and brother-in-law Rick Hibbs. Left with fond and loving memories his wife of 47 years Karen (Hibbs); daughter Kim; sons: Bert (Sue), Jonathan (Alison); much loved grandchildren: Katie and Jack Thompson, Sarah and Claire Hickman and Caroline and Cameron Hickman; brother Howard (Gina); sisters: Karen Cole, Barbara Tremellan (Trem), ON; sister-in law Joan (Hibbs) Goudie; aunts Joan Herder and Phyllis Hearn, BC; many nieces, nephews, cousins, wonderful friends and employees. Albert will always be remembered for his generosity and keen sense of humor. Special thanks are extended to Drs. Siddiqui and Stephen Lee, the wonderful caring staff at the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Centre and Tim Wade for all his encouragement. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11 a.m. from St. Thomas’ Anglican Church. Private family interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
