At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, of Peter (Pete) Kelly of Park West Lodge and Fort Augustus, age 95 years.
Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Mar) Kelly and loving father of Edna Kelly (Maurice) and Jerry Kelly (Susan).
Pete is also survived by his grandchildren, Stephen, Pat (Marsha), Thane (Janice), Lisa (Billy), Lynn, Amy (Trevor), Ashley (Ben), Alyssa (Jimmy), Andrew (Brittany) and Alex; great-grandchildren, Eric, Laura, Reese, Nikeda, Tristen, Dennis, Jorja and Bethany; brother, Howard Kelly (Bernice); sisters, Rita Power, Ruth Heron, Helen Milne (John) and Eileen Larkin; sisters-in-Law, Ione Kelly, Theresa Kelly and Teresa Corrigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Pat and Maryanne Kelly; sister, Margaret (Mrs. Emmett) Hughes; and brothers, Reg, Frank, Charlie, Rollie and Lornie Kelly.
Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Wednesday, September 9, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 10, at St. Patrick's Church, Fort Augustus, at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Patrick's Debt Reduction Fund would be appreciated.
