Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, in the presence of his loving wife Daphne (Hapgood) on September 8, 2009, at the age of 68. Predeceased by his father Marcus (1964), mother Minnie (1996), son Todd (1999) and sister Myrtle Stacey (2005). Lovingly left to mourn are his wife Daphne; daughter Denyse (Patrick) Milliken of Dorcester, NB; son Jeff (Debbie) of Calgary, AB; step-daughters: Paula (Tom) Haynes of Norfolk, England, Sharron (Neil) Richards of Mt. Pearl, Angie (Terry) Chaytor of Paradise; step-son Chris Haynes of Alberta; sisters: Anne (Herman) Cluett of Grande Prairie, Elizabeth (Mac) Walsh and Joan (Warwick) Tilley of Buchans; brothers: Ralph (Ethel) of Mt. Pearl, Mark (Patsy) of Buchans and Gary (Mary Blanche) of Winterton; granddaughters: Freya, Stephanie, Mallory, Sarah, Mia and Kristen; grandsons: Todd, Matthew and Jason. Also leaving to mourn his loyal four legged companion Abbie, close friends and Saturday night card buddies Pearl and Sam, and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. A very special thanks to Peter's Angels (nurses) at CCU, Health Sciences Centre. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, on Wednesday, September 9th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Thursday, September 10th from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 11th, at Topsail United Church.
