BIGNEY, Harold Charles – 74, Halifax, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 in Glades Lodge. Born in Joggins, NS, he was a son of the late James and Daisy (O’Regan) Bigney. Harold, better known as “My Boy”, was loved by many staff at Glades Lodge. They will miss him. He was a special person who loved to lay down with his bear, Teddy. He loved to hum to music that they shared at the home, where he was a resident over the last seven years. Harold is survived by his two sisters, Esther Anguish, Stratford, ON; Daisy Anderson (Daniel), St. Mary’s, ON; brother-in-law, Roger Ethier, Port Colborne, ON; several nieces and nephews including Roger Embree, New Waterford, Cape Breton. He was predeceased by sisters, Pearl Davidson, Kathleen Ethier; brothers, Jim and Earl Bigney. Arrangements are under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd., 149 Herring Cove Road, Spryfield (477-5601). By request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 10 AM from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Ragged Reef Cemetery, Cumberland County at 2 PM.
