Born on April 19, 1963 in Liverpool, she was the much loved, best friend and daughter of Verna (Slauenwhite) Davis, Lakeville, Kings County and the late Armand “Skip” Davis. Pat will be remembered for her keen sense of humour and her hearty laugh. She was employed with Canard Poultry for 16 years and volunteered for 12 years at the Child Adolescence Centre in Coldbrook, where she organized and created a library which now bears her name. She was a very talented lady and this was displayed in her knitting and crocheting. She had a passion for NASCAR and was a fan of both Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. Despite her many health challenges over the years, she enjoyed life to the fullest. She was always ready with a smile and an outstretched helping hand. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, Vern, Lakewood Road; two brothers, Ted, Lakeville and Wayne (Christine), Aldershot; a nephew, Keith Davis, Aldershot; an aunt (who was a second mother), Marion “Lulu” (Wilbert) Benjamin, Aylesford; her mother-in-law, Joyce Brannen, Kentville; special friend, Vicky Dekker, Kentville; cousins, Cathy Hatt, Lakeville and Sylvia Reid, Truro; many other cousins and extended family members. Her beloved dogs were her babies. Missy, Buffie and Lola will miss the special attention she gave them, especially her tender love and care. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her grandparents, Harold and Nellie Slauenwhite and Arthur and Mildred Davis; a niece, Danielle Davis. Visitation was held from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, June 16, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011, her cousin, Reverend Gary Slauenwhite and Reverend Doctor John McNally officiated.
