DOUCETTE, Geraldine Marie (Pothier) - 81, Lower Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away suddenly at Yarmouth Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. Born June 5, 1930 in Lower Wedgeport, she was a daughter of the late George and Lydia (Cottreau) Pothier. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She is survived by her son, Paul (Monica), and grandsons, Tyler and Nicholas, all of Lower Wedgeport; brothers, Ernie (Zelma) Pothier, Lower Wedgeport; Richard (Vicky) Pothier, Lindsay, ON; John (Marie) Pothier, West Pubnico; sister, Lyn Pothier, Lower Wedgeport. She was predeceased by her husband, Norbert Doucette and a half-brother, Laurent Cottreau. Geraldine enjoyed life. She was a member of St. Michael's Parish and the Wedgeport Senior's Club. She enjoyed cross-stitching, puzzles and visiting with her friends. She loved people and loved doing whatever she could for them, never expecting anything in return. She will be missed by everyone. Visitation took place from 7-9 Friday, with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Wedgeport. The funeral mass was held on Saturday, June 18, at 10 a.m. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Wieslaw Papuga officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
