Trenton - Donald Cranston Connell, age 77, of Oak Street, Trenton, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital.
Born in Saint John, NB, he was a son of the late William and Edna (Morris) Connell. He was a member of the Canadian Army before moving to Trenton where he retired from the Axle Forge at Trenton Works. He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Folk Choir. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife: Mildred (McInnis) Connell; daughter: Wanda Works, Winnipeg; granddaughter: Jennifer Works, Ottawa; brother: Larry (Hazel) Connell, Saint John, NB; niece: Cathy Connell; nephew: Paul Connell. He was predeceased by nephew Peter Connell.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton. Funeral mass 11 am Tuesday in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton, with Father Gary MacPherson officiating.
