KEARNS, MICHAEL D. - Michael Dillon Kearns, 56, of Halifax, NS and formerly of Shediac, passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, NS, on Friday, June 17, 2011. Born in Lachine, QC, he was the son of the late Gifford and Mary (Herron) Kearns. Michael was employed with A.R. Weber Properties and served with the Canadian Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman who had a passion for hiking, kayaking, sailing, hunting, was an animal lover and enjoyed operating his remote control planes and boats. Michael will be sadly missed by his son, Devon Kearns (Kim) of Edmonton, AB, sisters, Judy Melanson (Jean-Marie) and Penny Ferguson (Chris), brothers, Patrick Kearns (Sharon) and Sean Kearns (Shelley); several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
In keeping with Michael’s wishes, no public visitation hours. Private Family Service to be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), with Rev.
