GALLANT, PAUL JOSEPH - (1924-2011) - RICHIBUCTO, NB - Paul Gallant 86, of Richibucto passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital on Friday, June 17, 2011. Born in St. Ignace he was the son of the late Edouard and late Aurelie (Richard) Gallant. Paul attended St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto and he was a member of the Richibucto Golden Age Club. Paul worked as a carpenter for many years and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Paul will be sadly missed by his wife; Doris Gallant of St. Louis, his adopted mother; Marie Louise Gallant of St. Louis, his adopted daughter; Kathy Bolme of Sask., three step daughters; Jeannette Larocque (Roger) of Ottawa, Simonne Parker (Frank) of Richibucto, Juliette Robichaud of Que., one step son; Edward (Tom) Robichaud of Richibucto, one sister; Sr. Therese (Dorca) of Que., one brother; Alban Gallant (Marguerite) of MASS., one step sister; Aline Mazerolle (Fernand) of Richibucto, Mr. and Mrs. Arice Maillet and all of the Maillet family of St. Norbert. A special thanks to the 4th floor Nursing Staff and the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Paul was predeceased by his adopted father; Napoleon and one step brother; Hubert.
Resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm, Tuesday at noon until departure for the funeral at 1:45pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 21st, 2011 at 2:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
