At Beach Grove Home on Saturday, June 18, 2011, of Joseph "Joe" Francis
Tierney, formerly of New Haven, aged 79 years. Beloved husband of
Josephine (Trainor). Dear father of Theresa Hughes (Frank), Gerard
(Moira), Frank (Susan), David, Leo and Maurice (Lorna). Lovingly
remembered by his 22 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews. Brother of James (Dorothy), Louis, deceased (Ida),
Mary Carragher (Louis, deceased) and Gerald (Eleanor). Predeceased by
his parents Augustine and Bertha (Murray) Tierney. Resting at Belvedere
Funeral Home until Wednesday at 9:15 a.m., then to St. Anne’s Church, Emyvale
for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
