It is with great sadness that the family of the late PATRICK JOSEPH LAKE of St. Lawrence announces his passing at The Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Thursday June 16, 2011 at the age of 78. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Wife Mercedes of 57 years; Sons Tom (Beatrice) of Lawn, Mike (Elva) of St. Lawrence, and Eric (Paula) of St. Lawrence; Daughters Carol-Ann Slaney (George) of St. Lawrence, Elizabeth Edwards (Neil) of Lawn, Juanita Mitchell (Sheldon) of St. Lawrence, Jacklyn Loder (Cyril) of St. Lawrence, Marsha (Tony Champdoizeau) of St. Lawrence, and Dana Rutledge (Robert) of Atlanta, Georgia; Sisters Lucy Edwards, Betty Ford, Martha Turpin, and Christina Careen; Brothers William and Sandy Lake; 20 Grandchildren; 10 Great-Grandchildren; plus a large circle of family and friends. Pre-deceased by Parents Thomas & Elizabeth Lake, Daughters Sandra and Lucy, and Sister Cecilia. Funeral Mass took place on Monday June 20, 2011 at 10:00am from St. Thomas Aquinas RC Church in St. Lawrence. Interment followed at Mount Cecilia R.C. Cemetery in St. Lawrence. In Patrick’s memory, flowers gratefully accepted.
