At the Margaret Stewart Ellis Home, O’Leary, on Tuesday June 21, 2011 of Allison “Ellis” Sweet, of Knutsford aged 83, husband of the late Annie (nee Buchanan) Sweet. Born in O’Leary on Dec. 3, 1927, Ellis was the son of the late Percy and Irene (Ellis) Sweet. Dear father of Frank (Barbara), Knutsford; Clair, O’Leary; Donnie (Carolyn) Knutsford; Lorne (Bonita), Knutsford; Allan (Cindy), O’Leary and Ralph (Sherran), Knutsford. Loving grandfather of 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Brother of Suzie (Herman) Smallman, O’Leary; Mae (Robert) MacDonald, Erin, ON; Amy Platts, Fortune Cove; Isabel (Winburn) Harris, Knutsford; Ken (Betty) Sweet, Knutsford; Thelma (Winston) Doucette, Knutsford. Brother in law of Doris Grady, Summerside. Predeceased by his parents, wife Annie, daughters in law Linda and Iva, sister Charlotte in infancy, brother Sam, brothers in law Roy (Vera) Buchanan and Donnie Platts. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary with visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service on Friday in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O’Leary at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Mount Royal Peoples Cemetery. In memory of Ellis, donations to the Mount Royal Peoples Cemetery or the Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated.
