November 26, 1933 – June 20, 2011. Passed peacefully away at the North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, on Monday, June 20, 2011, Vernon Rowe of Green’s Harbour, aged 77 years. Predeceased by parents: Selby (1988) and Asenath (1996) and brother, Selby Jr. (1945). He leaves to mourn and celebrate his life with thanksgiving, wife Jacqueline (nee Bursey) and their three children: Dianne (Peter Manuel), Della Rowe (Ken), Hilary (Colin) Thomas, four grandsons: Justin, Gregory and Joshua Rowe, Skylar Thomas and one granddaughter, Kylee Thomas, special friend Ella Sooley. He is also lovingly remembered by six sisters and two brothers: Irma (Sterling) Freake, Mabel Hiscock, Marie Hogan, Harry (Betty) Rowe, Martin (Evelyn) Rowe, Willa (Calvin) Cole, Shirley (Gerald) Warren, Linda (Ira) Halfyard, special brother-in-law, Adrian Hogan, also a large number of nephews, nieces other relatives and many friends at Appleton, Gander and Trinity Bay. Resting at Warren’s Funeral Home, Dildo with visitation on Wednesday June 22, 6:00 p.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from Faith United Church, Green’s Harbour on Friday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Faith United Church Cemetery.
