
Dora Ladds
BLACK, DORA (LADDS) - The unexpected passing of Dora (Ladds) Black of Maugerville, N.B. occurred Monday, June 20, 2011 at the age of 55. Dora was born November 15, 1955 in Fredericton. She was a member of the Maugerville United Baptist Church. Dora enjoyed bowling and attending Camp Rotary, Grand Lake, N.B. She had a special fondness for stuffed monkeys and her favorite singer Elvis Presley. Dora was dearly loved by her mother Eva Ladds-Seeley of Fredericton and sisters Elsie Ladds (James Sullivan) of Montreal and Chris Ladds (Les Bailey) of Maugerville and by her brother Vernon Ladds (Connie) of Lincoln, N.B. Her step-father Robert (Bob) Seeley held a special place in Dora’s heart. Also survived by sisters Gwen, Sharon and Juanita and a brother David as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Dora was predeceased by her father Orlo Ladds and a brother Malcolm. The family wishes to thank Dora’s caretaker Charlotte Endall for the loving care and attention shown to Dora over the years.
The family will receive condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, on Friday, June 24 from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. The funeral service will be held from the Maugerville United Baptist Church on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. Rev. Charles Harvey will officiate assisted by Rev. Stephen Budd. Interment to follow in the Maugerville Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Camp Rotary or the Fredericton S.P.C.A. would be appreciated by the family.
