Winston Collicott
COLLICOTT, WINSTON DEXTER - It is with great sadness the family announce the unexpected but peaceful passing of Winston Collicott of West Saint John, which occurred at home on June 21, 2011. He was born in St. Stephen, August of 1943, the son of the late Manus and Edna (Lutwick) Collicott. Winston worked as a home heating tech for Irving Oil, was an electrician and amazing craftsman. In earlier years he loved traveling, was a jack-of-all-trades and loved sharing his stories with family and friends. Winston is survived by his sons Dean (Susan) of Truro, NS, Sean (Tara) of Saint John and Joel of Halifax, NS one daughter Christy of Saint John; two precious grandsons Ben and Noah; three brothers Gil of Amherst, Herb of Moose Jaw, SK and Leslie of Deep River, ON; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by former wife Sharon Elizabeth; two sisters Alta and Elda and one brother Manus, Jr.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road, (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held from St. George’s Anglican Church on Friday June 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Interment to take place at Fernhill Cemetery. Donations in Winston’s memory can be made to the Carelton Legion Branch #2 West Saint John, St. George’s Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
