GARNETT, JOHN P. - John P. Garnett of Saint John, husband of Kathleen Garnett, passed away June 22, 2010. Born in Saint John on July 28, 1923 he was a son of the late Harold and Gertrude (Chesley) Garnett. John was a member of the Tabernacle United Baptist Church. Besides his wife Kathleen, he is survived by his son, Douglas (Carol), Titusville; daughters, Kristen Garnett, Saint John; Gail (Alex) Richard, Quispamsis; grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan, Sarah, Evan, Brandon and Brooklyn; great grandchildren, Elijah, Abigail and Chandler. He was predeceased by his sister, Marion Campbell and step-mother Ethel (King) Garnett Thompson.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A graveside service will take place at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Greenwood Cemetery, Saint John West.
