It is with great sadness that the family of the late Howard Wight announce his passing on Wednesday, June 22nd 2011 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center at the age of 85. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 59 years Eva, sons: Nick (Celia); Prince Edward Island, Robert (Evelyn); Saskatchewan, grandchildren: Karen, Mark, Lisa, Robert Jr., Sean, Barbra, Lori, and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents John and Harriet, sisters: Elizabeth Baggs, Mable Eddy, Daisy Chynn, and brothers: Norman Wight and Walter Wight. Visitation was held on Thursday, June 23rd from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive Deer Lake from where a private family funeral service will be held on Friday June 24th, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Tony Newell officiating. Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Wight’s Road Deer Lake.
