Bette Mae GILLIS
The funeral for the late Bette Mae Gillis (nee Lund) was held on June 16th, 2011 at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, Grand Mira with Fr. Paul McGillivray, Fr. Dr. Albert Maroon & Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating. Pallbearers were nephews Michael Baldwin, Ronnie Gillis, Leeman Marshall, Ron Gillis, Blair MacDonald and Darren MacNeil. Honorary Pallbearers were Allan MacNeil, David Ranni, Blair MacSween, Brian MacDonald Glen MacNeil and Dylan MacDonald. Committal service held at St. Margaret of Scotland cemetery in Grand Mira.

We, the family of the late Bette Mae Gillis wish to express our heartfelt appreciation to our kind friends, neighbors and relatives for their support during our recent loss. To those who sent on-line condolences, sympathy cards, flowers, mass cards, donations, memorials and traveled distances to be with us, we extend our deepest thanks. To those who phoned, visited and sent food to our homes, we appreciate your kindness. Thank you to Bill Curry and staff at T. W. Curry for their kindness and compassion. Thank you to the members of the Grand Mira Community Hall for the lovely lunch after the funeral. Thank you to soloist Evelyn MacSween, organist Larkyn Gillis and the choirs of both St. Margaret of Scotland and Bethyl United Church. Thank you to the celebrants Fr. Paul McGillivray, Fr. Dr. Albert Maroon & Fr. Norman MacPhee for your counsel and kind words. Thank you to the Pallbearers, Honorary Pallbearers, Eucharistic ministers, altar servers, readers, gift bearers and those who formed the honour guard for their participation in the funeral mass. A very special thank you to Karen MacDonald as well as Allan & Sadie MacNeil & family for their unwavering help and support through this difficult time. To all of you who took the time to share with us in our loss thank you and God bless.
