Bruce Anthony Bishop - 47, of Oxford, Cumberland County, formerly of Alberta and Kentville, Kings County, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in the Moncton City Hospital. Born in Kentville, he was a son of Irene (Millen) Bishop, Kentville and the late Hubert Bishop. He was employed with IMP Aerospace, Amherst. He loved to hunt, fish, camp and all aspects of outdoor life. He also enjoyed motorcycling. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Bishop; a son, Jamie, Kentville; a step-son, Dustin Klassen, Oxford; a step-daughter, Danielle Goss, Alberta; two brothers, Ronald (Marle), Canaan; Gary (Gina), New Minas; two sisters, Debbie, New Minas; Nancy Dunbar, Wolfville; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
