SAMMS, Delilah Janet (Horwood) — Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday June 24, 2011, in the presence of her family Deliliah Samms of Turks Cove age 81 years. Predeceased by parents Robert & Julia Horwood of Curling; sister Collinette Hunt of Curling; son & daughter-in-law Gary & Blanche Samms of Gander. She is survived by husband of 61 years Gideon Samms, Turks Cove; children Milton (Audrey), Dartmouth N.S.; Gene (Marja) Calgary Alta.; Gale Butt (Niall) Carbonear N.L.; Jill Noel (Charles) Turks Cove, N.L.; John (Denise) Bay Roberts N.L. 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother Robert Horwood (Barbara) Grand Falls; sister Jean Gill, Sidney B.C. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place, the family will be receiving relatives and friends at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton on Saturday 7-9 p.m., Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday June 27, at 2 p.m. from St Luke’s Anglican Church Winterton.
