At the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital, O'Leary on Saturday, June 25, 2011 of Verna Mae Shea of O'Leary aged 97, wife of the late Bernard Shea. Verna was born in West Cape, on March 13, 1914, daughter of the late William Nelson and Ella (Hopgood) MacWilliams. Cherished mother of Hilton (Susan), Mill Road. Loving grandmother of Bernard (Bev McAllister) and Amanda (Ralph Rennie). Sister in law of Robert Shea, Kinkora; Ivan Shea, London, ON; Irene Smith, Beaverton, ON; Myrtle McKearney, Vancouver, BC; Alta Shea, Toronto and George Wright, Simcoe, ON. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Bernard (Dec. 16, 2007), granddaughter Natalie (Aug 28, 2008), brother Elmer, Sister Doris (Edmond) Dennis and nephew Clair. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O'Leary with visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O'Leary at 10:30 a.m. Family and friends are invited to a reception at the O'Leary Baptist Church immediately following the service. Private Family interment later in St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Woodstock. Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
