It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Lucille MacLeod, on Saturday June 25, 2011 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late John Archie and Christine Margaret (MacPherson) MacLeod.
Lucille was a nurse and was employed at the Isaac Walton Children's Hospital, Halifax until her retirement.
She is survived by her sister, Lynda Dale MacLeod (Jo Bissell), Sanford, North Carolina; brother, Donald ( Margaret) MacLeod, Mira; sister-in-law, Alice MacLeod, Port Morien; as well as her nieces and nephews; her special niece, Amy (Terry) O’Keefe, Port Morien, who have been her guardian angels for the past several years.
Besides her parents, Lucille, was predeceased by her sister, Annie Margaret MacLeod; brothers, Archabald MacLeod and Clifford MacLeod.
As per her wishes there will be no services. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
