It is with great sadness that the family of the late David Clifton Roney announce his passing on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of 73 years. He leaves to mourn with many precious memories his wife Margaret (Margo); son Sean Wells, Fort McMurray, AB; daughter Leanne Wells, St. Teresa’s, NL; stepchildren: David Brazzell, Andersonville, TN, USA, Danny Brazzell, Halifax, NS, Shannon Rowarth, Halifax, NS; eight grandchildren; his brother Wesley Roney; sisters: Audrey Bradey, Joan Doucette as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Anita Roney and brother Ray Roney. Visitation will take place on Monday from 7 – 9 p.m. at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church in Flat Bay, NL from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Father John Collins officiating. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
