The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home of Mr. Colin J. Gallant of Charlottetown and formerly of Hope River, aged 70 years.
Beloved husband of Linda (nee Shepherd) Gallant and dear father of Neil (Christine), Jeff (Kim). Colin is also fondly remembered by his grandchildren Crystal (Ryan), Aaron,Samantha and great-grandchildren MacKenzie, Noah and Ava; brothers and sisters Leonard (Brenda), Stella (Billy) Brothers, Grace Chaloner, James, Floyd andMary Alice; brothers and sisters-in-law Susan Gallant, Geraldine (Wayne) Coyle, Paula (Fenton) Bambrick, Harold (Frances) Shepherd.
He was predeceased by his infant daughter Colleen, parents Charles and Emmeline (nee MacDonald) Gallant, brother Donald and infant brother Arnold, sister Etta Smith; brother's-in-law Adrian Smith, Bob Chaloner, Tony Gallant and sister-in-lawDianne Gallant and parents-in-law George (Buddy and Joan Shepperd.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 10:15 on Tuesday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m.
Interment to follow in the family plot at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. If so desired memorials in Colin's memory may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Visiting hours at the funeral home Monday 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.
