Johnson, Dale Vivian – 58, Truro passed away September 8, 2009 at home. Born in Welland, Ontario, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Selina (Stanley) Joudry. Dale worked for many years as a P.C.W. at Glenview Lodge. She had also worked with the VON and many years doing private care. Dale enjoyed her Friday night cards with her very dear close friends and she also enjoyed bingo. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26 Ladies Auxiliary. Mom was a very caring and compassionate person who always thought of others before thinking of herself. Mom will be sadly missed by all who knew her and those whose lives she touched. She is survived by her son, Charles, Ottawa; daughter, Carrie, Truro; and the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Robert, Brett and Breea; brother, Pete Joudry, Whitehorse; sisters, Ann Andrews, Linda Knowles, June Joudry, Diane (Francis) Lamont, all of Truro, Suzanne Adema, Halifax; Ann Johnson and family, Truro; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her companion, Brian MacKay. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th from 1pm until time of the memorial service at 2:00 pm in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Brian DeLong officiating. Reception to follow the service. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26 Ladies Auxiliary.
