Passed peacefully away at his residence, Whitbourne, on September 13, 2009, Clarence Mercer, age 64 years. Predeceased by mother and father, John and Hannah Mercer. Brothers Edward and Fred, Sister Viola Pike. Leaving to mourn with fond memories, wife Joyce, of 43 years. One son John (Jessica), three daughters Peggy and Norm Somerton, Mount Pearl; Barbara and Bill Bath, Harbour Grace; Kathy and Keith Barrett, Grande Prairie, Alta. Ten grandkids, Matthew, Justin, Michael, Ashley, Amber, Sammy, Ethan, Catherine, Kalista and Nathan. Brothers Reg, Bob and Elsie, Rudy and Josephine, Whitbourne. Willie and Ethel, Stratford. Sisters Jean and Len, Markland, Gloria and Bob, Fort McMurray, Stella and Keith, Orlando, Laura, Carbonear. Sisters-in-law Melinda and Mae. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will take place at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Whitbourne at 2 p.m., Wednesday September 15, 2009. Flowers or donations gratefully accepted.
