Marguerite Mary Cashin

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marguerite Mary Cashin announce her passing on Monday, June 27, 2011 in the Palliative Care Unit at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville at the age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, two sisters, Marie Gaultois, Stephenville Crossing, Theresa Ryan, Stephenville and one sister-in-law, Theresa Cashin. Six devoted nephews: Robert (Kerri) Gaultois, Donald Gaultois, The Cashins: Ken (Linda), Mike (Elayne), René (Edwina), David (Ann Marie). Five loving nieces: Judy (Rick), Cathy, Florence (John), Patricia (Mike), Jackie, her long-time friend and co-worker, Cathy Slade and numerous other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents John and Florence (Schumph) Cashin, brother, David, a baby sister, Marguerite, two brothers-in-law, Mike Gaultois and Pat Ryan, a niece Anne Marie Cashin. Marguerite worked longer than a lifetime. First at Canada Post, Gaultois Brothers, Stephenville Crossing, Earnest Harmon, Stephenville, Goose Bay, Labrador and finally Frelco, Stephenville. She retired at the tender age of eighty ..... a good and faithful servant. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Wednesday, June 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 30th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephen’s Parish, West Street, Stephenville with cremation to follow. Interment will take place on Friday, July 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Doctors, Nurses, Staff especially Palliative Care.
